Heavy rains close B1 bypass near Windhoek after flood damage

    A series of housebreaking and theft incidents were reported over the festive period in Aranos, Katutura, and Eenhana, with criminals exploiting unsecured doors, windows and fences. No arrests have been made in any of the cases, and police investigations are continuing.

  2. Security guard loses shotgun in Oshakati on Christmas Day

    A security guard on duty at a business outlet near a mosque in Oshakati's Okandjengedi informal settlement allegedly lost his service shotgun on Christmas morning, reportedly when a female passer-by grabbed it and ran away. Police surveillance footage does not show a woman taking the gun but shows the guard still carrying it until around 06:15, after which the gun's disappearance is not captured.
