Coenraad Botha, a Namibian crypto investor, has lost an absolution from instance application against Bank Windhoek, in which the bank seeks repayment of close to a million on a N$3.3 million mortgage loan he failed to settle. Botha and his wife were arrested in March 2024 on charges including fraud, money laundering, and running a N$160 million Ponzi and cryptocurrency scheme via CBI Exchange Namibia; they have separately applied for the return of a hard drive containing N$163 million in cryptocurrency, with judgment expected on 30 July 2026.
