Namibia's Parliamentary Standing Committee on Infrastructure has highlighted roaming livestock and inadequate traffic capacity as major contributors to road accidents, with livestock accounting for nearly 51% of accidents in Kavango West. The B1 road, particularly between Mariental and Keetmanshoop, was identified as a major fatality corridor, with the Committee recommending stronger controls over livestock and enhanced enforcement measures.
