Katjijari Choice Mbangura, a 21-year-old Namibian attacking player from a football family, scored on his Premier League debut for Young African FC against African Stars FC. The Katutura-born player, who has also played for SKW and Prolific Sports Club, aims to compete at the highest level after recent trials with Cape Town Spurs in South Africa.

Stars currently lead on 41 points with eight games remaining, level on points with Eeshoke Chula Chula but ahead on goal difference.

    African Stars Football Club extended their lead in the Namibia Premier Football League standings to 45 points after a 6-2 victory over Tigers FC on Sunday at Unam stadium. Young African FC's coach Maleagi Ngarizemo said his team was satisfied with collecting four points from weekend matches against the reigning champions and Khomas Nampol FC.

  2. African Stars extend league lead with six-two victory

    African Stars moved to 45 points after thrashing Tigers 6-2, extending their lead atop the Namibia Premier Football League with a goal difference of +21. FC Ongos climbed from fourth to third place after winning 2-0 away to Life Fighters and drawing 0-0 with Mighty Gunners.

  1. Chula Chula forfeits three points for fielding ineligible player

    Eeshoke Chula Chula have been deducted three points by the Namibia Premier Football League for fielding an ineligible player in a match against Julinho Athletics, dropping them to third place and handing the league lead to African Stars. NPFL administrator Mabos Vries stated that player Esenge Yanzambe was ineligible due to accumulation of three consecutive yellow cards, and the club had been informed by the NFA but fielded him anyway.
