Vasilije Boskovic, a Yugoslav engineer who supported Namibian liberation movements from the 1960s onwards and later settled in Namibia, has died on 4 July. His relationship with Namibia began in 1961 when he met Sam Nujoma and worked under Yugoslav President Josip Tito to assist liberation movements, facilitating training and support for Namibian students and PLAN combatants in Yugoslavia.
