Nine AFC nations qualify for expanded 2026 FIFA World Cup
Nine Asian Football Confederation teams have secured qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the first edition to feature 48 teams and be jointly hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada. The qualifiers include established contenders Australia, Japan, Iran, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Iraq, as well as debutants Jordan and Uzbekistan.
