Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare told executive directors to end poor implementation, weak accountability, and wasteful spending, warning that government success will be measured by ability to implement policies and improve people's lives, not by the number of policies produced. He expressed concern over abandoned capital projects across the country and urged alignment of procurement plans with seven priority areas: agriculture, water infrastructure, housing, education, healthcare, energy, and economic development.

Two Korean tourists robbed at gunpoint in Swakopmund
Two Korean tourists were robbed at gunpoint at a Swakopmund hotel parking area on Thursday by four male suspects who fled with personal items including cash and travel documents. Police pursued the suspects, recovered most of the stolen goods, and arrested one suspect, with three others still at large.
