Amanda Jantjies and her husband Barnard Jantjies were sentenced to 14 and nine years' effective imprisonment respectively in the Windhoek High Court after admitting guilt on more than 1,700 charges of fraud, theft, and money laundering totalling N$9.98 million. Amanda, a bookkeeper for bus service Ekonolux, defrauded her employer between January 2014 and November 2018 by making unauthorised payments to her own account and her husband's close corporation.
